Dr Riddle is a professor of medicine and head of the Section of Diabetes in the Division of Endocrinology/Diabetes/Clinical Nutrition at the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Riddle serves as a member of the Slide Kit and Educational Outreach subcommittees of CADRE.

Dr Riddle currently researches pharmacotherapeutic tactics for type 2 diabetes. Among his current projects are the design and implementation of two 10,000 subject clinical trials, the Action to Control Cardiovascular Risk in Diabetes (ACCORD) trial and the Outcome Reduction with Initial Glargine Intervention (ORIGIN) trial.

He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism and Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics and is an ad hoc reviewer for the American Journal of Medicine, Diabetes, JAMA, and Diabetes Care, among numerous other journals. Dr Riddle maintains membership in the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Diabetes Association, and The Endocrine Society.
